President to give hope to insurance industry with Insurance Act

The Deputy Minister of Finance, Mrs Mona Quartey has reiterated government’s commitment to provide an enabling environment for all businesses, including the Insurance industry to thrive.

She said the new insurance Bill, which is currently under review, will address emerging Insurance issues and prioritize licensing for specialized insurance, such as micro finance among others.

Mrs. Mona Quartey was speaking at the investiture of Aretha Abrafi Duku as first female President of the Ghana Insurers Association (GIA) in Accra.

The occasion was also used to swear the new board into office.
