President Mahama urges NDC Supporters to remain calm

John Dramani Mahama has broke his silence after the 2016 general election by urging the supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stay calm and wait for the electoral commission to declare the results of the presidential election.

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has projected victory for their presidential candidate Nana Addo-Danquah Akuffo Addo, after the Wednesday general election, while the ruling party has also come out that the president is in a comfortable lead.

John Dramani Mahama who has been silent since that time has finally broken his silence by telling the Party faithful of the NDC who gathered at his residence in Achimota on Friday to remain calm, as the EC comes out with the final results. `

“I thank you for your support and your vote. Reamember that we are a party that respect the rule of law and also to remember that we are the party that is in power so we have more to lose if there is any instability,” he said.
