President Mahama Touts Gov’t Achievements As He Launches NDC Manifesto

President John Mahama says the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government has undertaken a lot of developmental projects across the country and made massive investment in education, healthcare delivery making Ghana free from the guinea worm disease.

Launching the NDC 2016 Manifesto in Sunyani in Brong Ahafo which focuses on “Changing lives Transforming Ghana,” President Mahama said it has been written in simple and straight forward language for easy reading.

President Mahama said the NDC government has stabilised the economy and it is now ready to add value to the raw materials for export in the next four years.

This will create employment for the youth.

He said the party is prepared to expand its social protection programme to cover fishing and Zongo communities, among others.

On irrigation, he said it will be at the heart of the green revolution.

President Mahama asked all Ghanaians to vote massively for the party because it is the only party that has shown its readiness for the December polls.

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur used the occasion to correct some claims made by the opposition NPP concerning the economy.

He asked Ghanaians not to believe the claims adding that loans contracted by the NDC government have been put to good use.

Mr. Amissah-Arthur urged party faithful to explain into details contents of the manifesto to the citizenry.

This, he believes is the only way the NDC can win more votes.
