President Mahama To Resume Gt. Accra “Accounting” Tour On Tuesday

President John Dramani Mahama will resume his “Accounting to the People” tour of the Greater Accra on Tuesday, June 21, 2016.

The four-day tour originally slated for last week truncated on the first day, June 14 following the death of the President’s mother.

President Mahama made this known when members of the presidential press corps called on him at the Flagstaff House on Monday, to commiserate with him on the death of his mother.

President Mahama said the Greater Accra tour would be followed by that of the Ashanti region.

He said due to the Ramadan period, the tour of the three regions of the north would take place after the Muslim holy period.

President Mahama expressed appreciation to the press corps for calling to share in his grief.
He also said he appreciated the work the corps at the presidency.

The spokesperson of the corps, Mr. George Ramsey Benemba, told the President that the death of “our grandmother” came as a shock to the press corps.

He said it was therefore appropriate that as journalists who operated from the Presidency, they found time to commiserate with the President.
