President Mahama Promises Peaceful Hand Over If He Loses Upcoming General Election

President John Dramani Mahama has assured the Ghanaian community in Côte d’Ivoire that he has no intention of perpetrating violence in the unlikely event that he loses the 2016 elections.

Rounding up his two- day official visit to Côte d’Ivoire he said as a leader he is constitutionally obliged to peacefully hand over power and will not renege on that injunction.

President Mahama has since returned home after the two-day official visit.
