President John Dramani Mahama and his French counterpart Francois Hollande have held a closed door meeting at the Elysee.

The discussion focused on the increasing French private sector investments in Ghana’s economy and the security situation in the West Africa sub-region.

Briefing the media after the meeting, President Mahama said 400 million dollars of the latest 750 million dollar euro bond will be used to retire the remaining 400 million dollar euro bond obtained in 2007.

He said this will not affect the extended credit facility agreement with the IMF.
