President John Mahama has inaugurated the newly constructed 120 bed Shai Osudoku District Hospital at Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region.
The facility can be expanded to increase its capacity to 200 beds.http://ghanapoliticsonline.com
It is the first of six district hospitals being built by the government at a cost of $175 million.
The others will be cited at Sekondi, Kumawu, Abetifi, Fomena and Garu-Tempane.http://ghanapoliticsonline.com
A seventh hospital, the European Hospital in Sekondi will also receive a facelift with additional facilities.
The district hospital project is part of President Mahama’s transformational agenda to enhance healthcare delivery across the country.
The Medical Superintendent of Shai Osudoku, Dr Kennedy Brightson told Radio Ghana that the hospital is a great relief to the staff and patients in the District.
The Minister of Health, Alex Segbefia charged the Staff of the hospital to give priority to the maintenance of the facility so that it can last long to serve the people.
