President Mahama inaugurates New Longoro Community SHS -Pictures

President John Dramani Mahama has inaugurated the New Longoro Community Day SHS in the Kintampo North District bringing the number of Day Schools to 11.

He told the cheering crowd that his pledges are not made in vain pointing out that they could see the results for themselves adding the location of this particular school is the best situated especially when he knows the terrain too well since the people are his in-laws.

The President also dispelled allegations that there is a freeze on public sector employment especially in the education and technical sectors.

Speaking at the inauguration of new Longoro Community Senior High School in Kintampo North, in Brong Ahafo, President Mahama mentioned that about 2,400 teachers have been recruited and are being deployed to their stations.

President Mahama announced that 60 of the community Day Senior High schools being built by government will be equipped to serve as technical and vocational training centres.

He added that, one school in every region will become an excellent sports training centre to nurture talents in the field of sports.
