President Mahama Educates Kpandai Residents On Proper Voting Procedure

President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday, educated the people of Kpandai on the proper way to thumb print a ballot paper.

He expressed concern over the number of rejected voters in the 2012 election and asked the people to do it well this time around and retain him in power.

He said he has already built the foundation for rapid economic development and appealed to the people to retain in as president to enable him complete his objectives for the nation.

The President reiterated his commitment towards improving the quality of education in the country.

He said government has so far completed one hundred and twenty three community senior high schools, whilst similar projects are ongoing to expand access to education across the country.

He also announced plans to construct modern district hospitals in Kpandai and Wulensi to improve access to health care in the area.

President Mahama also revealed that government is awaiting parliamentary approval to extend electricity to twenty four communities in every district and urged the people to come out in their numbers to vote for him in December.

The road network remains a major concern for the people of the Eastern Corridor districts.

Those who spoke with Radio Ghana appealed to government to improve road network in the area.

The road from Salaga to Kpandai through to Wulensi and Bimbila are in bad shape, making the carting of yam and other food staff in the area a herculean task.

The Tamale-Salaga portion of the road is however under construction.

President Mahama is on a four day campaign tour of the region and has so far visited the East Gonja, Kpandai, Nanumba South and Nanumba North Districts.

He addressed durbars in Salaga, Kpandai, Wulensi, Lugni and Bimbila. The president also made whistle stops at smaller communities along the Eastern Corridor.
