President Mahama cuts sod for New Edubiase sports stadium

Sod has been cut for a ten thousand seater stadium for New Edubiase in the Adansi South District of the Ashanti Region.

The facility at a cost of six million Cedis is borne by the Government of Ghana.

President John Mahama, who performed the ground breaking ceremony, noted that for a mere fact that the town has a formidable football club is enough reason to have a stadium.

The stadium comes with a volleyball and basketball courts.

The facility when completed, will enable schools in Adansi, Asokwa, Fomena and Obuasi to have their inter colleges sports there.

The Queen Mother of New Edubiase, Nana Akua Dwum, said the facility in a small town like new Edubiase gives them hope for other projects.
