President Mahama Announces Implementation Of Job-Creation Project For January

President John Mahama, has announced the implementation of an Economic Transformation and Livelihood Empowerment Programme (ETLEP) starting from January next year.

This programme seeks to create more jobs in several sectors of the economy, with private sector involvement, and is anchored on value addition and diversification on the back of sustainable power supply.

President Mahama, who dropped the hint at a Ghana Club one hundred event last week was hopeful of a second term during which the programme will be implemented. He stated that the environment is getting better adding that the right climate for take-off is here.

The Economic Transformation and Livelihood Empowerment Programme will strengthen existing industries and pay particular attention to the entire agriculture value chain as well.

Additionally, the Programme will provide more jobs for the youth and Ghanaians as a whole, improve disposable income and enhance their purchasing power.
