Police and Military High Command Hold Joint Meeting With Media Ahead of November Polls

The Police and Military High Command have for the first time held a joint interaction with the media ahead of the November elections.

The GJA President, Affail Monney was also present at the meeting which was addressed by both the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshall Sampson Oje and the IGP John Kudalor to find a common ground on how both the media and security agencies can work to sustain the peace in the country before, during and after the election.

The IGP John Kudalor in an address raised issue with the politicization of the media such that some media houses have become spokespersons of political parties.

The IGP also outlined security measures put in place so far towards the elections.

The Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshall Sampson Oje cautioned that any person found to be undermining the peace and security of the country will be dealt with.
