Ghana Police Service has mounted a search for the person(s) responsible for circulating on social media, a pornographic video of a woman believed to be a police personnel with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.
The video went viral three days ago.
The nude video of the lady, who is said to be called Yaa Boakyewaa, a police sergeant, has been shared mainly via social media and has enjoyed massive viewing, whilst others are frantically looking for it.
Brong Ahafo Regional Police PRO, ASP Christopher Tawiah denied knowledge of it when he was asked about the identity of the lady in the sex video on a local radio station, Sky FM, Wednesday in Sunyani.
Write-ups accompanying the video identified her as a police CID woman and alleged that she was also facing police service enquiry for allegedly defrauding a lady at a fuel station in Sunyani.
But national Public Relations Officer of the service, Supt. Cephas Arthur who did not reveal her identity as well as the rank of the female officer admitted that the woman is indeed a police officer.
Describing the video as being in bad taste, Supt. Cephas Arthur said the police will deal ruthlessly with the person(s) responsible for the circulation if arrested, adding that sharing such videos is against the law.
He indicated that the police officer in question will also be investigated and face the full rigours of the law should her conduct be found to have gone contrary to the police service disciplinary code by-adomonline. Com
