The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC), Johnson Aseidu Nketia, has hinted that, the NDC government is working towards in creating a new district in the Chiana-Paga constituency.
Speaking at a campaign launch of the parliamentary aspirants for the Area, Rudolf Amenga-Etego, Mr. Nketia said a committee has been set up by the president to study the profile of the constituency after which it will present its recommendations to parliament for approval.
He therefore urged the people from Chiana and the West zones to remain calm and wait patiently for the verdict from parliament.
Mr. Nketia officially introduced the Parliamentary candidate elect to the people.
He urged them to vote massively for him to continue the good work of his predecessor, Abuga Pele.
The parliamentary aspirant for the Chiana-Paga constituency, Rudolf Amenga-Etego, a legal practitioner wrestled power from the former GYEEDA boss some few months ago in the NDC parliamentary primaries held in Paga.
The General Secretary, Johnson Aseidu Nketia said since 1992, the NDC party has maintained the Chiana-Paga seat and impressed on the electorates to ensure they vote wisely to secure the seat.
The General Secretary popularly known in political arena as General Mosquito advised party executives and supporters to bury any differences among themselves, and unite for a common purpose.
The parliamentary aspirant for Chiana-Paga Constituency, Rudolf Amenga-Etego was full of praise for the people for coming out in their numbers to support him.
He also praised Mr. Abuga Pele for his show of maturity.
He called on the people to rally behind him so that they could come out victorious in the upcoming general elections.
The MP for Bawku central and Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Mahama Ayariga, said President Mahama and the NDC government is already doing what the opposition NPP has promised to do when they come to power.
He has therefore advised the people to turn deaf ear to their promises since they have nothing to offer Ghanaians.
