PHOTOS: Veep, MPs on Val’s Day keep fit, donation

The Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur led Majority Members of Parliament (MP) and other government officials in a keep fit exercise Sunday February 14 after which they made donations to the School for the Deaf at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

The health walk started from the Capital View Hotel and ended at the Jackson Park for aerobics in the early hours of Valente’s Day.

Class FM’s Eastern Regional correspondent McAnthony Dagyenga reports that the group later donated assorted items including chocolate to the individuals at the school as gifts to mark the celebration of Chocolate Day in Ghana.

The day is also being celebrated as St. Valentine’s Day across the globe.

The keep fit exercise formed part of several programmes instituted by the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) to ensure that government officials embraced an exercise culture and stay healthy.

Other officials, including the NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, participated in the programme.

Barely a month ago, a similar keep fit exercise was organised for appointees in government at Ho in the Volta Region.
