Acting President of the Ningo Traditional Area, Nene Kanor Atiapah III, has cleared the air on some false stories attributed to him which claims he said the Electricity Company of Ghana’s prepaid meteris are sick as the NDC government.
Speaking to a section of the media in his Palace at Old Ningo, he lamented that some people want to ruin the relationship and rapport he has built with the NDC government and President John Mahama hence spreading false stories about him.
“I have never said anywhere that NDC Government is sick neither have I said anywhere the NDC should be voted out. I am not a kid, even if I wanted to campaign for or against any political party, I wouldn’t make such irresponsible comment. He said”
According to him, he observed that anytime people wanted to buy credits for their meter, the vendor told them the network was down, and since his main duty as a Chief is to make sure his people are happy, he expressed concern on the issue.
“What I said was that the prepaid meters might be good for some Ghanaians but it’s not helping the people of Ningo-Prampram and therefore made a humble appeal to the Government” he added
Nene Kanor Atiapah III, who recently sidelined Sam George revealed that, the same people who go about tarnishing the image of Ningo-Prampram, are the same people behind the twisted stories levelled against him so as to create the impression that he hates NDC and John Mahama.
In a separate chat with Ghanapoliticsonline.com as to whether the Traditional Council has forgiven Sam George after he apologized for insulting them, he said that the Traditional Council are still on the issue and will inform the public and update on that matter.
