Parliament To Reconvene On Tuesday October 11

The Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho says Parliament will reconvene on Tuesday October 11, 2016.

In a release signed by him, he said the notice for the resumption of Parliament comes under Standing Order 37 of Parliament which empowers the Speaker to summon and dissolve parliament.

The House which went on recess on August 8, was recalled by the Speaker to an emergency sitting on the first of this month.

The forth coming meeting will be the third meeting of the fourth session of this sixth parliament of the fourth republic.

The meeting is expected to last some few weeks before dissolution of the House after the elections.
