Parliament approves Bombande, Agor but Oti Bless on hold

Parliament has approved the nominations of Emmanuel Bombande as Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and Joseph Tetteh Agmor as the Deputy Minister for the Eastern Region.

The House has however, stepped aside the approval of John Oti Kwabena Bless as Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Developments pending further consultations on whether or not to clear him. This follows allegations by some MPs that Mr. Oti Bless who is also the MP for the Nkwanta North constituency was part of the Montie FM saga.

Though the Appointments committee presented its report a week ago, the House took a voice vote on the approval of the three nominees only last night.

The Speaker of the House, Edward Doe Adjaho said in the light of the developments, Parliament will decide on the nomination of Mr. Oti Bless later.
