Parents besiege Education Ministry over school placement system

Scores of parents are angry with the Ghana Education Service over this year’s placement for Senior High Schools.

The parents besieged the Ministry following delays in placing their wards in their preferred schools.

They are accusing officials of the Placement Secretariat of refusing to post their wards although they have qualified for admissions.

Some of the parents and their wards who shared their frustrations with Starr News said officials of the ministry have failed to address their concerns.

A parent who spoke to Starr News said his child not been placed in any school of his choice even though he qualified with aggregate seven.

But the Public Relations Officer of the Education Service Jonathan Bettey in a response asked the parents to exercise restraint.

According to him, all the challenges will be addressed very soon.
