Open Message to Baah Acheamfuo and Haruna Mahama! -Katakyie Kwame Opoku Agyemang

“Mpanin se, 3fa ne 3fa reko a, 3nkyer3 s3, abontensoni mm3fa nkodi”. Yes, during the NPP presidential primaries in 2014 and just like any other primaries, there were tension, accusations, counter-accusations, insults, clashes etc among supporters of the flag-bearership contestants.

I was personally involved and can vouch that, certain pronouncements, write-ups, and actions taken by me and against me were not right. But, what else do you expect from a young democracy like that of Ghana?

However, as a true patriot nurtured by good parents and tutors, I rendered an unqu

alified public apology to the eventual winner of the NPP presidential primaries, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. I followed it up with a personal visit to his office in Accra with members of a new group (Patriotic Ambassadors for Peace – PAP) I had formed to support him.

Nana received me with warm hands and since then I have been working hard to ensure his victory and that of NPP Parliamentary Candidates in the upcoming general elections.
One thing that motivated me to walk this path was a quote from my former boss, Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen (Alan Cash).

He posits; “After competition, there is cooperation”.
I have not denied the fact that, I supported Alan Cash and I have never regretted to have supported him during the primaries. However, there are people like Baah Acheamfuo and Mahama Haruna who have shown complete ignorance of modern partisan politics and want to drag my reputation in the mud.

Although none of these two guys has personally met me in person or collaborated with me on anything, they have been using my name in their diabolical agenda of thwarting the efforts of Nana Akufo-Addo to unseat the most incompetent leader of our time at the presidency.

I cannot be part of this diabolic scheme of being sponsored by Mahama to bring confusion in NPP. I want to see a prosperous Ghana; I want a better future for my 4 kids; I want to have a decent job.

I want to sound a word of caution to them. They must leave me alone! What profits a self-claimed genuine NPP member, if he constantly bashes Nana Addo on air for a Dead Goat to retain power?

Let’s think about Ghana and not our stomachs. I have the strongest conviction that, irrespective of Nana Addo’s so-called shortfalls as a human, he could be a far better president than John Mahama. At least, Nana Addo is not corrupt.
Let’s arise for change!
