Oguaman Int. Band embarks on a Tour to promote Ghanaian music in USA & Europe

The management of the acclaimed Oguamann Band yesterday announced that the band from May this year will embark on a performance tour of the United States and Europe to treat Ghanaian music fans to thrilling highlife songs.


According to the management, the tour dubbed “Celebrating Ghanaian Music And Culture” covers major US cities and European countries like UK, Belgium, Germany among others.


The tour will involve performances and workshops, where the band is expected to showcase music and dance pieces rich in Ghanaian traditional and contemporary rhythms.
The management of the band told Beatwaves in an interview that the objective of the tour is to promote and market Ghanaian music in the States and bring key stakeholders together to support the cause of Ghanaian music.


A leading member of the band, Clementina Tenkorang promised that the much awaited tour would be a historic one, adding that the tour is a unique platform to celebrate Ghanaian music and culture on the international music platform.
It is expected to create the biggest platform in the States to market and promote Ghana’s tourism industry to the world.


She stressed that Ghanaian music lovers living in the States and Europe will be treated to refreshing musical performance by the band which will be performing with some of the US and Europe based Ghanaian highlife artistes.


She mentioned that the Oguamann Band which was launched a decade ago had been playing long before it was officially launched, with some of its members having over two decades of experience in the music industry.


She added that as a band which provides entertainment for all age groups at various events, it is not possible to attend Oguamann music concert of any kind without being moved to dance and get in the spirit of the exuberant music that oozes out from the band.


The members of the band are determined to cut across all barriers to showcase their musical prowess.


Talking about their vision for 2019, the manager of the band Emmanuel Osekre, affirmed the band’s readiness to thrill audience and their fans during the tour.
