The 2016 parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Weija Gbewa Constituency, Obuobia Darko-Opoku, has donated some food items, toiletries and 15,000 litres poly tank to the Ga South Municipal Hospital.
The donation, forms part of her Valentine’s Day gift to the administration, and patients of the health care facility.
The items included; 10 gallons of parazone, 10 gallons of disinfectants, 30 rolls of cotton, 50 cans of glucose, 10 cartoons of carnation milk, 5 cartoons of milo, 24 pieces of toilet paper, 10 pieces of bed sheets, 34 boxes of water, 10 gallons of liquid soap, boxes of vitaco, boxes of sunlight soap and a 15,000 litre poly tank.
Speaking at the presentation, Obuobia Darko-Opoku, who is also the deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Freezones Board, noted that the donation was part of her Valentine’s Day gift, which fell on Sunday, February 14, to the patients and hospital.
Every patient at the various wards at the hospital where Obuobia Darko-Opoku visited, personally was given a present.
She further stressed that, the hospital would need a separate ward for both babies and adults.
She was accompanied by Constituency and Branch Executives of the party.
