Obiba Sly Collins, others mourn George Forest at One Week Commemoration

Sly ‘Obiba’ Collins joined over 10,000 folks who turned up for the one week observation ceremony for ace Ghanaian Producer, George Forest, who passed away a week ago.

“George is like a brother to me. His death is still a very big shock to me. George has struggled through the years and this is the time for him to reap all his hardwork but unfortunately he is gone too soon. He was the main guy supposed to play my set for the ‘Ghana + Peace’ concert I’ve booked for November but…..well, he is gone. God’s ways are not ours. Fare thee well, George Forest”, Sly Collins cried.

Sly Collins who is currently working on his ‘come back’ album called #Reality has released at least 6 singles off the album before official release in November.

The ceremony which was held for him (George Forest) at his residence in Tafo (Kumasi, Ashanti Region) saw an overwhelming attendance. The likes of Bandex, Nana Tuffour, Charles Amoah, Baffour Kyei, Captain Afriyie among others.

Obiba Sly Collins and George Forest have played band together over 20 years before the latter passed on.

Information has it that George Forest will be buried on the first weekend of November 2016.
