Nzema-Manle Council Honours Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah

The Nzemamaanle Council in collaboration with the Historic Nzema Project awarded over ten (10) prominent persons in the Nzemaland who have contributed much to the development of the Nzema.

THE “NZEMALAND DEVELOPMENT AWARD (NDA)” was the maiden one with the theme: “Recognizing Our Own As We Sustain The Nzemaland Development Agenda”. It was held at Kamgbunli in the Ellembele District of the western region on 6th August, 2016.

The Nzemamaanle Council consists of seven (7) key Paramount Chiefs.

Addressing the gathering, the guest speaker for the occasion General Peter Augustine Blay who is Ghana’s Ambassador to La Côte Divoire expressed his profound appreciation to the organizers of the event and also thanked the seven Paramount Chiefs in the Nzemaland.

Ambassador General Blay said Nzema must come together and foster unity.

“Nzemaland and Ghana as a whole need peace before, during and after the general elections so that we can protect the developmental projects in the country to the benefit of our generations yet unborn”, General Blay stressed.

The Member of Parliament for Ellembele constituency who doubles as Ghana’s petroleum minister Dr Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah received the ultimate award in Nzemaland entitled, “CHAMPION OF NZEMALAND DEVELOPMENT AWARD”.

The rest of the award winners were Ghana’s Second Lady Mrs Matilda Amissah Arthur, former president for National Media Commission Ambassador Kabenla Blay Amihere, CEO for Ghana Gas Company Dr George Adjah Sipa Yankey, CEO for Franklin Company Mr Frank Buah, Mr David Cobbina Brigidi the CEO for Karela group of company, Ambassador Lee Ocran, Professor Kakari Noku the founder for Manye Academy, Mrs Elizabeth Conney the Ellembele District Director, Paramount Chief for Nsein Traditional Council Awulae Adjavi Kwame II, former MCE for Axim East Municipal Hon James Cobbina, DCE for Ellembele District Hon Daniel Eshun and others.

Receiving the award, Dr Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah expressed his profound gratitude to the entire Nzemaland for honouring him for the great works he is doing for the three Nzema Districts.

Dr Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah said Nzemamaanle must come together as one people and fight for more developmental projects in Nzemaland.

He said in a seperate chat with GhanaPoliticsonline.com that , Nzemaland is blessed to see developmental projects and also advised that politics is not about acrimony but to see Nzemaland as first before our body politics.

“This award given to me is a challenging one and its will ginger me to work harder to bring more developmental projects to Nzemaland”, Dr Buah emphasized.

After the award ceremony, the chairman for the occasion, Awulae Angamatu Agyani II who is the Paramount Chief for Gwira Traditional Council encouraged Dr Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah to work extra hard to bring more developmental projects to Nzemaland and not to be discourage by negative tendencies some people will pose on him.
