NPP PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE FOR ELLEMBELE ENDORSES MP FOR ELLEMBELE

Francis Kwasi Bonzo known in a political circle as “Bonzo K” who is the NPP parliamentary candidate for Ellembele constituency in the western region has openly endorsed and commended the Member of Parliament for the area who is also NDC aspirant Hon Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah.

Kwasi Bonzo who has been defeated by Hon Armah Kofi-Buah twice made the statement during the Founders’ Day of Uthman Bin Affan Islamic Senior High School, UBAISH over the week end.

Surprisingly, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate was given the platform to addressed the gathering and his speech was directly to the sitting MP of which he commended his work and encouraged him to keep on doing his great works he is doing.

“In fact Hon Armah Kofi-Buah MP and Minister is doing well and I have seen it here”, “May God give him more strength to continue on to do more as MP for Ellembele constituency”, Kwasi Bonzo stressed.

He also added that Hon Armah Kofi-Buah has education at heart and Hon Armah Buah has improved the standard of education highly in the district.

After his speech, Montie FM spoke to some NPP members who were at the gathering and they said they are even shocked to hear those words from their Parliamentary Candidate and they advised Kwasi Bonzo not waste his resources contest Hon Armah Buah because He Bonzo K has already endorsed Hon Armah Buah.

On other related story, Hon Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah who was the special guest of honour advised the students to make good use of the opportunity they have as students and learn hard because their future depends on it.

The Petroleum Minister also commended the Kamgbunli community for their sacrifices and selfless commitment that brought about the establishment of the only Islamic Second Cycle School in the region.

Hon Buah urged the stakeholders to unite and take the school to a higher height and pay more attention to the production of science students.

The Headmaster of the school, Alhaji Osumanu Zakaria appealed to Philanthropists, Non Governmental Agencies and Governmental Agencies to help raise the school to a first class school.

HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

The Uthman Bin Affan Islamic Senior High School was named after the third successor of Prophet Mohammed and thus depicts the school as religious oriented.

The idea to establish the school was based on a proposal by Sheik Usman Ahmed Mozu to cater for the religious and educational upbringing of the youth.

The Elders of Kamgbunli community accepted the proposal and the construction started with a sixty thousand dollar donation from a Saudi Philanthropist.

The school made its first enrollment in the 2008-2009 academic year with sixty two (62) students with a majority of them coming from the Kamgbunli community.

The school also started with General Arts Business programs and operated as a private mixed Day school for four years until the government took over the ownership in 2013.

The school currently run six programs with Three Hundred and Seventy Five students (3,75).
