NPP General Secretary position too big for John Boadu

New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Asante Akyem North, Andy Appiah Kubi, says John Boadu cannot handle the General Secretary position of the party.

According to him, the position of chief scribe of the party must be occupied by a “courageous and charismatic” person.

This, he said, John Boadu is not up to that standard and therefore urged the party to choose a more ‘competent’ person to handle such position.

“John Boadu is a fine gentleman but I think they are rushing him too much. That position is too big for him. If I was asked to choose a General Secretary, I will never have chosen John Boadu,” Appiah Kubi stated.

The NPP National Organiser, John Boadu, has been given additional responsibility as the acting General Secretary following the suspension of Kwabena Agyepong.

The decision was announced by NPP Communications Director Nana Akomea at a press conference at NPP National Headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra.

It came shortly after the NEC sanctioned the decision by the Disciplinary Committee to suspend Agyepong and the second Vice Chairman Sammy Crabbe.

Meanwhile, efforts by Adom News to reach John Boadu for comment proved futile.
