NPP EXECUTIVES IN BIG FIGHT McManu, Freddie Blay, John Boadu and Abankwa Yeboah clash over party cash

Sources at the Asylum Down headquarters of the NPP indicate that four executives of the party are engaged in a serious turf war over the management of party funds and resources for this year’s polls.

At the heart of the turf war is a tussle over the control of campaign cash as allegations of corruption and undermining continue to fly in the party.

Sources within the NPP indicate that the Treasurer, Abankwa Yeboah feels abandoned as he seems to have been sidelined and is reported to be having a frosty relationship with the First Vice Chairman of the party..

Sources further revealed that the Campaign Manager, Peter Mc Manu is on a collision course with the Acting General Secretary and has refused to accept the authority of the Acting General Secretary.

“Mr. McManu seems to see John Boadu as a small boy; someone whom he had towered high above when he was Chairman hence he has refused to recognize the authority of Mr. Boadu as the Acting General Secretary; this is creating tension in the party and affecting the campaign,” our source at the NPP headquarters revealed.

The source also indicated that the flag bearer, Akufo Addo, has become uncomfortable with the First Deputy Chairman of the party, Mr. Freddie Blay, and has sidelined him. “All is not well in the NPP. After the ill treatment of the Chairman, Second Vice Chairman and the General Secretary of the party they thought all was going to be well, little did they know that they are their own enemies,” the source revealed.

As at time of going to press, the flag bearer and his campaign team were said to be locked up in a meeting in a bid to resolve the tensions that have rocked the party.
