NPP does not want Nana Addo scrutinised – Kwakye Ofosu

Deputy Minister for Communication Felix Kwakye Ofosu has said that the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is doing its best to prevent its flagbearer from being scrutinised ahead of the December 2016 polls.
Kwakye Ofosu explained that nobody can become President in Ghana if they don’t allow themselves to be scrutinised by the electorates.

“NPP wants to grandfather their flagbearer into the flagstaff house as president without any scrutiny and that is not possible. They don’t like it when their flagbearer is scrutinised that is the only reason why they are unable to show up at any debate.”

He questioned why Nana Addo has allegedly backtracked from contesting in the IEA presidential encounter where his turn had been postponed twice.
“Nana Addo himself has not been to the IEA has he? Despite the fact that they(IEA) have bent backwards for the party. I am certain the IEA will not do same for the CPP, PNC, APC or any smaller party. Even a monologue, involving himself he doesn’t want to go just go and stand there and tell the people of Ghana what you have in stock for them without any opponent he has not showed up despite two postponements.”
“So on what basis is it being suggested that we have not shown interest in the IEA, the opposition has not shown interest in the IEA debate either.”

President Mahama in an interview with Ovation Magazine said Nana Addo has only been making accusations against him but he has been running away from a debate challenge he has thrown to Nana Addo.
The NPP has also responded to the challenge by asking the governing NDC to respond to the 170 questions asked by Dr Bawumia duirmg his lecture on the tru state of the economy.
