NPP Deputy Women’s Organizer resigns to campaign for NDC

Another resignation has hit the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Abuakwa North Constituency of the Eastern Region barely a fortnight after the constituency treasurer Akosua Sarpomaa, resigned her post to join the NDC.

The latest is the Deputy Constituency Women Organizer, Patience Koranteng popularly known as Adwoa Krobo, who has resigned her post to join the camp of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate Ambassador Victor Smith.

According Bryte Fm’s Nyarko Abronoma, Madam Koranteng has since been tight-lipped over the matter indicating that she will publicly communicate her latest decision at the appropriate time

It is however gathered that some constituency executives of the party are averse to the candidature of the current Member of Parliament (MP) Gifty Twum Ampofo, hence the recent spate of resignations.

Communication director of the Constituency Mr. Osei Wusu, who confirmed the latest resignation said the executives of the party in the constituency are yet to officially receive correspondence to that effect, but indicated that the woman in question has not been active in the party activities for some time now.
