NPP can’t manage Ghana – Amissah-Arthur

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has launched a scathing attack on the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) saying, the party is incapable of managing the country should they be handed power.

In his view, the failure of the party’s leaders to handle their internal issues clearly shows they can’t manage the country.

Mr. Amissah-Arthur made the comment while speaking at the launch of a group calling itself “Young professionals for John Mahama and Amissah Arthur,” on the campus of the University of Professional Studies.

He used the opportunity to plead for another term for President Mahama saying the nation will see accelerated development if given another chance.

“And as you’ve heard, elections are decisions for the future because our next leader must take us forward and our next leader must take us forward on four principles. The first principle is of leadership and the leadership that they are talking about is the leadership of our party, how we’ve kept it together against others who are not able to keep theirs together.”

“Our leadership of the nation makes it stable and unified. So there’s a test of leadership when we go to the elections on November 7. Are we selecting a leader who is able to keep his house in order? Are we selecting a leader who is bringing confusion within his party? Are we selecting a leader who has a vision for his people, for the nation?”

Confusion in NPP

The NPP in recent times has been hit by a number of crisis which subsequently led to the suspension of National Chairman, Paul Afoko, General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong and First Vice Chairman, Sammy Crabbe.
