The Ghanaian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Said Sinare has indicated that, the National Democratic Congress will win the election in every single Zongo community in the country come November, 7.
According Alhaji Sinare, the NDC will be rewarded with a massive victory because of the faithfulness it has shown towards people living within the Zongos.
Speaking to Citi News, Alhaji posited the rhetorical question, “who is the more the faithful to the Zongo communities than the NDC party? Ask the NPP party; we are more faithful to them [Zongo communities], that is why they are so dedicated to us, that is why they are not going anywhere.”
Alhaji Sinare further indicated that “In 2012, we made sure we were able to get the ninety five percent that we wanted in the Zongo communities and that is exactly what we will do this year. We are not taking any chances.”
“We will win every single Zongo community in the country by not less than a 95% margin” he added.
Alhaji Sinare was speaking at a Joint Rally organized by the Zongo for NDC and the I CHOOSE JM groups, at the Nima market in Accra.
Also speaking at the event was the organizer of the Pro-NDC youth group, I CHOOSE JM, Benjamin Assuman, who indicated that social media will play a crucial role in this year’s elections therefore; close attention must be paid to activities on the various social media platforms in the run up to the November polls.
“Don’t underrate social media in this business, social media has driven revolutions in other countries, it is the cause of the Arab Spring, social media has been the basis of the Obama campaign. Therefore anyone who undermines the power of social media does so at his own risk”, he said.
Benjamin Essuman further called on the youth of the NDC to desist from engaging in any form of violent act that will jeopardize the peace the country is currently enjoying.
The Zongo for NDC is a grassroots group, whose main aim is to mobilize support for the party in all Zongo communities across the country.
The recently launched I CHOOSE JM, also seeks to gather grassroots support for the NDC, and also encourage all young Ghanaians to rally behind the party for victory come November, 7.
