NPP Calls For Release Of Three South Africans Detained By BNI

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called for immediate release of the three South Africans detained by the BNI for acts that they say have national security implications.

The three were arrested at the EL capitano hotel in the Central Region for training security details of the 2016 Presidential Candidate of the NPP Nana Akufo Addo.http://ghanapoliticsonline.com

They have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime and unlawful training and were granted bail. But they are still in BNI custody despite the court`s bail.

At a news conference in Accra, the Greater Accra Regional chairman of the NPP, Ishmael Ashittey, described the continuous detention of the South African as an abuse of their rights, breach of the constitution and an insult on the Judiciary.
