We are not recruiting – Ghana Police

The Police Administration is asking the public to disregard rumours of an ongoing recruitment exercise into the Service.

A statement issued Wednesday by the police says “there is no Police recruitment going on presently” and that “when it is ready to recruit it will cause announcement to be made in the media to inform the public, to enable interested persons avail themselves of the opportunity.”

“The public are also advised to report people who would claim to be recruiting on behalf of the Police to the nearest Police Station or call Police emergency telephone numbers: MTN and Vodafone Shortcode 18555 or 191 on all Networks for assistance”, it added.

POLICE RECRUITMENT
The Police Administration wishes to inform the general public that there is no Police recruitment going on presently. Therefore, the public are hereby advised to disregard rumours making the rounds that the Police are embarking on a recruitment exercise.

The Police Service wishes to state that, when it is ready to recruit it will cause announcement to be made in the media to inform the public, to enable interested persons avail themselves of the opportunity.

Furthermore, the Police Administration wishes to entreat individuals, parents and guardians to prospective candidates to avoid being lured into parting with huge sums of money ostensibly to purchase recruitment forms, as the Police may not sell forms the next time there is recruitment.

The public are also advised to report people who would claim to be recruiting on behalf of the Police to the nearest Police Station or call Police emergency telephone numbers: MTN and Vodafone Shortcode 18555 or 191 on all Networks for assistance.

Meanwhile, the Police Administration wishes to re-iterate that, there is not Police recruitment going on, and that when it is time for the exercise, there will be media announcement to that effect.
