No Woman Should Die Out Of Non Communicable Diseases -Nana Oye Lithur

No woman should die out of non communicable diseases. This is according to the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur.

The Minister made this statement when she met executives of the World Health Organization at a conference in the United Nations headquarters in New York.

The conference is under the theme “Time for Action: Women Mobilizing against Non Communicable Diseases.”

According to the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur, non communicable diseases constitute a significant challenge to sustainable development and human rights hence no woman should be allowed to die out of Non communicable diseases.

Non communicable diseases include cardiovascular diseases like heart attacks and stroke, cancers, chronic respiratory diseases (chronic obstructed pulmonary disease and asthma) and diabetes.
