Ningo Prampram voters hoot at Ade Coker

Some voters at the Ahwiam polling station in the Ningo Prampram constituency have hooted at the Regional Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress as well as military men who had come to observe the election.

Ade Coker and the deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister had paid a visit to the constituency on Sunday to witness voting at the constituency which recorded violent scenes on Saturday.

But the men according to Joy News’ Kwetey Nartey were met with boos and jeers from the voters, some of whom did not know why they had to come to the polling station.
Some of the voters insisted they would not allow anybody who is not detailed to be part of the election process to come anywhere close to the ballot.
Ade and his men had no choice but to drive away.
The military personnel were also hooted at by the angry supporters shortly after Sam George, one of the candidates, demanded that the military leave the voting area.
He claimed the presence of the military was intimidating the voters and wanted them out.
The seat is held by veteran E. T. Mensah, who is seeking the NDC mandate again.
