Member of Parliament for La Dadekotopon constituency, Nii Amasah Namoale has blatantly denied his claims that the Central Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Allotey Jacobs was arrested at the Heathrow Airport.
Hon. Namoale opened what appeared to be dead wounds after disclosing that the NDC Regional Chairman was indeed arrested, contrary to statements by the latter that he had not been arrested nor faced any interrogation at the Heathrow Airport.
Following Hon. Namoale’s confession, there has been a revival of the issue as some people believed he had given credence to the incident.
Speaking on Kokrokoo on Peace FM, Hon. Namoale discounted the claims stressing that some detractors twisted his words and presented it as Allotey Jacobs had been arrested.

He told host Nana Yaw Kesse emphatically that “it’s not true. I haven’t said that…I have not said anything like that. It’s some people who are twisting it.”
Meanwhile, Hon. Namoale has issued a statement denying what he termed as “misinformation that is floating in the media that I have confirmed the arrest of Mr. Allotey Jacobs at the Heathrow.”
“I have never said in any media house that Allotey was arrested and interrogated at the Heathrow Airport. Neither have I ever said categorically that he was questioned by the British Security, but rather I was playing a scenario that the NPP person who might have been on the same plane with Allotey thought might have happened at the Heathrow airport,” part the statement read.
