NDC’s unprecedented campaign launch; Massive show of unity and strength (67,000 people)

The launch of the NDC’s campaign for the onetouch victory, GOD WILLING, come December 7 saw a massive crowd estimated at 67,000- adding the over spill into the choked environs of the stadium and into Cape Coast town.

As early as 6am people had taken their seats, enjoying their vuvuzelas, gyama, chanting ‘Mahama paper’, 3y3 zu! 3y3 za!! among others. Campaigns are all about people.

The unity witnessed at the stadium cannot be found in the NPP which is in total tatters under Akufo Addo. The president, Vice President, first and second ladies, founder, elected national chairman, elected general secretary, council of elders, chairman Kwabena Agyei (former national chairman), Alhaji Hudu Yahaya, Dan Abodakpi, the 3 Ahwoi brothers, Totobi Quakyi, Ama Benyiwa Doe,…….& the young promising stars.

The speeches were splendid- Hanna Tetteh, Okudzeto Ablakwa, Haruna Iddrisu, Ofosu Ampofo, Alban Bagbin, Asiedu Nketia, the founder and President Mahama.

The testimonials from ordinary Ghanaians were illuminating- showing the impact of the success story on livelihoods and indicating that the people recognize president Mahama’s hard work and output and expect more in 2017 bcos they trust him.

The president in his speech indicated his first ten has been both challenging & FRUITFUL. He recounted the initial challenges that his government faced- the 8months long needless election petition, the strange market fires which affected our traders, the harsh global economic climate and dumsor.

He indicated the strength and determination of his government which has led to the resolution of critical challenges and pointed to unprecedented and monumental progress in education, health, roads, electricity, job creation and economy. And he hinted at what the 2016 NDC manifesto has for you and I; more jobs, more growth hence more money in people’s pockets.

In all these the opposition NPP did not hide their admiration and shame. They actually sought to draw in the passing of President Mills and even spent huge sums of money to print posters on that. They insulted the Fanti Chiefs and gods all in a fatal and futile attempt to subtract from the splendid event. This morning expect them to continue….. With trivialities……..

Massive crowd of over 67,000, no stampede we thank God. Splendid organization.

President Mahama is poised for victory. The victory will be onetouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!
