NDC Targets 80% Votes In Ellembelle

The NDC Campaign Coordinator for the 2016 elections in the Ellembelle Constituency,Mr. Kofi Anaman has declared that the party has targeted 80% of votes in the area in the December polls.

He noted that the works of the incumbent member of Parliament(MP),Mr. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah speak volumes which will culminate in a landslide victory in both the Parliamentary and Presidential elections.

Mr. Anaman was speaking in an interview with this reporter as part of the party”s campaign slogan, dubbed,”Celebration of Progress”under MP Kofi Buah and President John Dramani Mahama as the party launches its campaign at Awiebo on Saturday, September 3.

He stated categorically that the Ellembelle constituency has witnessed massive development in all human endeavors since the MP took the seat in 2009 .

Mr. Anaman mentioned the operation of a mobile clinic project and an elder care center as major social interventions of the MP apart from his contribution to the growth of education and other social services in the area.

He added that another key project on the drawing board of the MP after the 2016 elections,is the establishment of a Food Bank to boost the economic status of people in the area especially the vulnerable.

The campaign coordinator recalled that the good works of the incumbent MP was even testified by the NPP Parliamentary Candidate,Mr. Kwasi Bonzo during a programme at Kamgbunli in recent times.

He revealed that the selection of Mr. Kofi Buah as the Campaign Coordinator for the western Region,for the December 7,general elections,amply testifies good leadership since he became an MP and a cabinet Minister in the Mills-Mahama-Amissah-Arthur-led administration which marks a symbol of his love,unity and development.

Mr. Anaman said the election is all about ideas which further translate into development and asked the electorate not to be deceived by other politicians peddling falsehood.

He said the NDC is not in any way ready to foment trouble before,during and after the elections and advised party faithfuls to engage in decent political discourse.

Among the dignitaries to grace the occasion are the Vice-President and his wife,the General Secretary of the NDC,Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and National Organizer of the NDC,Mr. Kofi Adams.
