NDC MP called Atebubu Queen Mother Fool

Member of Parliament for Atebubu-Amantin Constituency, Hon. Sanja Nanja, has taken the Queen mother of his constituency to the cleaners for accusing him of masterminding the burning of NDC headquarters.

Simmering tension between the MP for the area, and the DCE, Sampson Owusu Boateng reached its zenith on Tuesday, resulting in hot clashes between supporters of the two.

According to reports, Owusu Boateng has been replaced as DCE by one Eric Osei. This change did not go down well with Owusu Boateng and his supporters. It led to tension in the district, especially among members of the Atebubu Traditional Council, executives of the ruling party in the area, as well as members of the Atebubu Youth Association.
Subsequently, some members of the NDC reportedly burnt down the constituency office.

Nana Akua Donyina, the Queen mother accused the MP for Atebubu as being the one responsible for the fracas.
However, in an interview on Pink FM ’s midday news, the MP denied the allegation and described the Queen mother as a drunkard.

“ Where was she when the DCE was organizing the youth to go and burn the party’s headquarters? Why would she say something like that? The DCE has given her alcohol and she is drunk; that is why she is making such accusation . . . what a silly so called queen mother… ” he fumed.
