NDC Congratulates Hon Kevor Mark Oliver
The executive committee of NDC in Afram plains has congratulated Hon Kevor Oliver Mark for meeting all requirement necessary and successfully filing his nomination to represent the party at the 9th hour.
According to the statement signed and copied to Ghanapoliticsonline.com, the executive committee members hinted that though this isn’t the very first time a candidate has filled to represent the party in a Parliamentary Election, this release has become very necessary and timely because of the drama that unfolded prior to his successful filling of nomination.
Below is the statement
AFRAM PLAINS SOUTH CONSTITUENCY OF THE NDC
The entire Constituency Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress in Afram Plains South wishes to congratulate our new Parliamentary Candidate and soon-to-be Member of Parliament [Isha Allah], Hon.Kevor Mark-Oliver for successfully filling his nomination to represent our dear party in the 2016 Parliamentary Elections.
Although this isn’t the very first time a candidate has filled to represent us in a Parliamentary Election, this release has become very necessary and timely because of the drama that unfolded prior to his successful filling of nomination.
As a constituency, we were bereft of hope when our incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Appiah Boateng took that very heartbreaking decision to step down as the Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the up-coming election few hours to the closure of nomination yesterday.
In fact, at a point we all thought our dear party has lost the Afram Plains South seat to our main political opponents- the NPP due to the shocking withdraw of candidature by our MP at the eleventh hour, only for a “messiah” in the person of Kevor Mark-Oliver to emerge salvaging the situation.
We are by this release CONGRATULATING our new Parliamentary Candidate for successfully filing his nomination to lead us to battle in partnership with President John Dramani Mahama.
We assure him of our UNFLINCHING SUPPORT as a constituency especially when our incumbent MP has openly done same.
Tears came down the eyes of all of us [party members] at the EC yesterday when our MP accompanied Hon. Mark-Oliver Kevor to file his nomination, signifying Unity and total endorsement.
We urge all party members across the length and breadth of the Constituency: from Ekye Amanfrom to Semenhyia and from Adzidekope to Asuogyanafour to embrace the party’s decision and join the moving train us we work towards President Mahama’s re-election bid as well us the retention of the seat but this time, with Kevor Mark-Oliver as the Member of Parliament.
Long live Ghana and the NDC; Long live Afram Plains South Constituency!!!
