NDC attends thanksgiving service (Full Video)

As part of activities to mark the 25th anniversary celebration of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), members of the party attended a thanksgiving service in Accra last Sunday.

The service was attended by stalwarts of the party, including the National Organiser, Mr Kofi Adams; the Deputy General Secretary, Mr Koku Anyidoho; the Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Mr Ade Coker; a Vice Chairman, Mrs Betty Mould Iddrisu and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Odododiodoo, Nii Lantei Vanderpuye.

The theme for the year-long celebration is “Mirroring the past into the future.”

Sermon

Delivering the sermon, the Founder and leader of the Mission to Nations International Ministries in Accra, Rev. Albert Okpoti Botchwey, urged political leaders to care for the people.

“As a leader, your sense of responsibility and duty of care must be unto God and unto the citizenry and not unto those who merely shout praises,” he stated.

Rev. Botchwey said as politicians, it was imperative to always show love and care to the people and be compassionate, adding that “If you love someone, you cannot harm him.”

He also urged political leaders to lead exemplary lives for others to emulate for national development.

Advice

Mr Anyidoho called on members of the party to work towards unity, pointing out that by accepting one another’s views, the party could become stronger.

That, he noted, was one of the key steps to enable the NDC to win the 2020 Election.
