NATIONAL SECURITY COORDINATOR WAS UNAWARE OF APPIAH STADIUM ARREST.

It has come to light that the National Security Coordinator was unaware and did not authorise the arrest of Frank Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Appiah Stadium on 25th September.

Appiah Stadium was arrested twice. The First time by “National Security” on the 25th of September and the following day 26th September by the Ghana Police.

It is now certain that the arrest on the 25th of September was masterminded by Hopeson Adorye in conspiracy with Reverend Owusu Bempah using the name of National Security. Appiah Stadium was picked up by Hopeson Adorye accompanied by 2 self styled national security operatives.

Strangely he was driven to Reverend Owusu Bempah’s residence and subjected to torture and interrogation. He was also forced at gunpoint to record an apology to President Akufo Addo for claiming that he smokes marijuana.

From there he was driven to the residence of a member of the Council of State Madam Ama Busia where he was further tortured and subjected to interrogation. There he was forced to call President Mahama to inform him of his predicament and was recorded while speaking to the former President. He was also made to kneel at the feet of Rev. Owusu Bempah and Madam Ama Busia.

He was release late in the afternoon and returned to Kumasi the same night from where he was arrested again the following day by the police CID.

It has come to light that the supposed National Security arrest was fake and was staged by Hopeson Adorye and Reverend Owusu Bempah without the knowledge or authorization of the National Security Coordinator.

This means we live in truly dangerous times. It means anyone can be picked by unauthorised National Security Operatives and take to any destination they please and subjected to torture.

What many commentators are wondering now, is how law and order has so broken down under the administration of a President who prides himself as a human rights activists..
