National Research Fund In The Offing

The low levels of investment into research in Africa have come up for discussion.

Deputy Education Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, told the 7th Network meeting of the Centre of Africa Excellence in Accra that, it is for this reason that the government of Ghana is establishing a national research fund to encourage research for development.

The Bill establishing the fund has been approved by Cabinet and currently before parliament.
