National Farmers Day To Be Observed Tomorrow As Interior Ministry Insists The Day Is NOT A Public Holiday

Tomorrow is the 32nd National Farmers Day celebration where some gallant farmers will be rewarded for their hard work.

The venue for the awards is Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo Region.

All is being done to get the venue ready for tomorrow’s event.

Award winners are in the Region and are touring Sunyani before the event tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of the Interior says tomorrow November 4, which will be observed as National Farmers Day is NOT a Statutory Public holiday as is being speculated in the media.

A statement signed by the sector Minister, Prosper Bani said the statutory Farmer’s Day which falls on Friday December 2, will appropriately be declared a public holiday.

The Ministry is therefore asking the Public to ignore any statements declaring tomorrow a holiday.
