Nana Addo Must First Apologize To President Mahama If He Wants Clean Campaign – Joyce Bawa

Spokesperson for the NDC campaign, Joyce Mogtari Bawa, has said if the opposition New Patriotic Party(NPP) wants an issue based campaign ahead of the December polls, they must first conduct themselves well and avoid tagging President Mahama as incompetent leader.

Joyce Bawa said the President cannot be condemned for what the opposition NPP say is the incessant attacks on their flagbearer, Akufo-Addo when he[Nana Addo] and the NPP had in the past attacked Mahama the same way .

“Who threw the first blood? Were they not the people who described the president as incompetent? Were they not the people who described the late Professor Atta Mills as incompetent? I will say it here; we are ready to match them boot for boot if they call us names”

Bawa contends for the unpalatable attacks to stop, Nana Addo and his party must first apologize to Mahama for the vituperation and eschew the name calling.

President Mahama has on recent tours in the Western region and Northern regions attacked the NPP 2016 Presidential candidate, Akufo-Addo’s personality and leadership style describing him as a dictator and a divisive figure in the Dankwa-Busia-Dombo tradition.

But the opposition NPP said the governing NDC campaign lacks a message, thus has focused on the New Patriotic Party’s Nana Akufo Addo on their campaign trail.
