Nana Addo Is Just Making Empty Promises . . . – Kofi Adams

National Organiser of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams says the Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is just making empty promises to Ghanaians.

According to him, every assurances and promises made by Nana Akufo-Addo cannot be fulfilled as they are simply meant to win the 2016 elections and noting else; however, he [Nana Addo] should not be taken serious.

Commenting on Nana Addo’s numerous campaign promises, Kofi Adams on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ Morning Show reminded Ghanaians to check the track record of NPP’s Flagbearer when he was a Member of Parliament and a Cabinet Minister and disregard him as a leader who is coming to help the country.

Emphatically, Kofi Adams insisted that Nana Addo did not do anything for his constituents when he served as a Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South and therefore performed abysmally when he served under President Kufuor as Attorney-General and a Minister of Foreign Affairs.

“Nana Addo is not committed to the development of Ghanaians; he is only making empty promises to Ghanaians that he cannot keep. When he was an MP and Minister, he never did anything for his constituency,” he asserted.

He posited that Nana Akufo-Addo cannot be President because he is not marketable.

He insisted that Nana Akufo-Addo’s ‘one district one factory’ is not attainable as he has not given any roadmap for the feat; thus, every other promise he is going round assuring Ghanaians is only meant for their votes as he does not have the will power to implement them.

Meanwhile, Nana Addo in his round up tour in Brong Ahafo said, Ghana, a country blessed with an abundance of natural resources and human capital, is mired in poverty, because of lack of leadership and clear policy directions to give Ghanaians decent standards of living.

At Yefri, a town in the Nkoranza North constituency, the NPP Flagbearer noted that what Ghana needs is a leader who has love for the country, adding that the “the reason for our suffering is because we don’t have good policies in place.”
