Nana Addo is divisive and a bad leader-Supporters of Afoko

Some aggrieved supporters of the embattled National Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that they still see the suspension of the officer as unlawful and unconstitutional despite the Human Rights Court ruling on Monday, August 15, 2016. Mr. Paul Afoko had dragged the NPP to court after he was suspended for working against the interest of the party.

He described his suspension as illegal and wanted the court to rule in his favour. However, the ruling by the court presided over Anthony Yeboah said the suspension was lawful, just and fair.

The court said Afoko has no case, despite challenging the procedures used to sanction him. But some supporters of the suspended officer in an interview with Nyankonton Mu Nsem after the ruling said, they are extremely disappointed. According to them, the presidential candidate, Nana Akufo is behind the plot to oust Afoko from the party because he dislike him.

They said, they will reconsider their decision to either vote for the NPP or not. The supporters who were charged said Nana Addo lacks good leadership and do not mean well for the NPP. In their view, the actions and inaction of the presidential candidate is dividing the rank file of the elephant family.

They also indicated that they still recognize Paul Afoko as the National Chairman of the party. Meanwhile, Paul Afoko has indicated that he will appeal the Accra Human Rights court’s decision to uphold his suspension.

Mr Afoko in a statement said he respects the decision by the court but he disagrees with it.
