Nana Addo Doesn’t Know How To Win Power…And I Ain’t Afraid To Tell Him – Nyaho Tamakloe

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has rubbished his party’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ongoing nationwide tour dubbed “Rise and Build”.

According to him – the tour is just a waste of time and must be snubbed by all well-meaning party activists.

This ‘Rise and Build’ tour will not help anybody, it will not help the party. It will not help the cause of the party at all,” he maintained in an interview with Kwesi Aboagye, host of NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie.

Dr Nyaho Tamakloe also argued that Nana Addo lacks the strategy to clinch power for the NPP in 2016 – “By now, he should know certain things that will bring you to power. I keep on referring to Kufour [Ex-President]…Kufour knows how to get power. I have been with Kufour for years.

He further insinuated that his party’s flagbearer does not know how to kow-tow before others to win their support – a trait he argues will affect Nana Addo’s presidential ambition – “Kufour can lie down on the floor for you to walk over him…just for power. Through that he [Ex-Prez Kufour] annexed power. If you find it difficult to get to come down to the level of the ordinary person…then who is going to give you his or her vote?

The founding member of the NPP however expressed worry over the internal wrangling within the ‘Elephant’ fraternity, and accused the flagbearer of sidelining his National Chairman Mr. Paul Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyapong in his ongoing tour.

Nana Addo knows very well that you cannot win political power with a divided front. If anybody cannot tell him [Nana Addo] I can tell him. If people are afraid of him Nana Addo, I am not afraid of him.

…Those latter-day saints around him are creating big problems for him,” Dr Nyaho warned.

He further counselled that – “This party [NPP] needs a united front, without that, we cannot win power. A united front is a key to success in any political institution.
