The people of Ghana have watched with bated breath how the people of America have defied all odds to stand with you. They have elected you as the 45th President of the United States of America. I extend my warm congratulations to you and all Americans for chalking this result.

You have proven to the world that as long as one keeps to the things that matter to the people victory is possible. You defied ageism and stereotype. Our interests and pursuits are not very different. And as long as this victory is possible in America we can hope that it is possible in Ghana.

I look forward to a good working relationship between your government and mine in the not too distant future.
