Nana Addo can’t stop vigilantism– Asiedu Nketia

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has taken swipe at President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for not stopping the activities of vigilante groups in the country.

He said Nana Addo has demonstrated support for thuggery and violence in his public life.
There is growing concern that the Police service is weak in dealing with political vigilantism. Groups like the NPP’s Delta Forces, Kandahar Boys, Burma Camp and Invisible Forces have grabbed headlines for boldly attacking state officials and locking up state buildings.

Asiedu Nketia speaking on the development on Accra-based Asempa FM on Monday, October 30, said “Nana Addo can’t stop vigilantism because throughout his life he has supported thuggery. He enjoys thuggery and so I am not sure he can end it.”

He noted that he cannot assure the safety of Ghanaians when voted into office.

“We told Ghanaians that Ghana will be insecure if Nana Addo was voted into office as President and it has come to pass, now we feel insecure in the country because of lawlessness,” he said.
